Chip conveyor chain is generally used in machine tool industries to move scrap from machine area to scrap area. These chains are available in hollow chains, with attachments, in loose condition etc., in various pitches and width, with wire mesh or hinged type steel belt.
An Assembled hollow chain is already mentioned in conveyor chain section. In these products round rods are inserted in hollow pins of the chain & slat or wire mesh mounted on to convey object. Chains are mostly working in a pair.
In Loose Parts, inner block is always in an assembled condition & outer link is in loose condition with round & D type holes. These chains are also working in a pair. Loose Parts are convenient for assemble or disassemble of conveyor chain on line or machine. It’s available in various pitches like: 1.5”, 2.5”, 4” & 6”.
L Attachments are used to push or carry scrap. In L Attachments are fitted on pin, which is a larger than normal pin, with riveted & stack welding on specific distance as per customer requirement. These chains are also working in a pair. On L Attachment of pair chain a flat bar is bolted on both side to carry or push scrap. It’s manufacturing in 1.5”, 2.5” & 3” pitches.
Steel Hinged Belts are used on chip conveyor machine as well as heat treatment machine (furnace, oven & etc.). In Steel Hinged Belt, Assembled Chains are used for light conveyor machine & Loose Parts are used for heavy conveyor machine on both sides of belt. Steel Hinged are generally manufacturing from MS, SS 304/316 or as per customer requirement. Hinged Steel belts are having drilled holes, when belt are used in liquid or chemical condition. Generally these types of chains are having side wings on both sides, where chain are assembled & separator welded on hinges on specific or require distance to maintain interval between a job. It’s manufacturing in various pitches & width as per customer requirement.
